Command directly affects how many soldiers a hero brings into a squad. A hero with higher Command contributes more troops, which is a large and easy-to-overlook source of squad strength — two heroes with similar ATK/DEF/HP can still field very different troop counts depending on their Command.

What raises Command

Command comes from at least three confirmed sources:

  • Hero Level Bonus — leveling a hero up increases its Command by a meaningful amount. This is the single largest lever most players have direct control over.
  • Building Bonus — city buildings contribute to Command, tying it back into your Base progression the same way hero level is.
  • Survivor bonus — a separate bonus source that also feeds into Command.

Because Hero Level Bonus is such a large piece of this, hero level, city progression, and Survivor bonuses all move Command in the same direction — there’s no single “Command building” to chase; it’s the sum of ordinary progression across several systems.

Why this matters early

If a hero’s screen says it needs a Base level upgrade to level further, your Base has become the bottleneck for both that hero’s stats and its Command. Base progression and hero progression are directly connected — see Base / HQ Progression for how to keep that moving efficiently.
