Alliance technologies represent your alliance’s collective power. These buffs stack on top of your personal stats and are often the deciding factor against a similarly-powerful rival.

How contribution actually works

  • The Leader’s Star. Officers (R4/R5) mark one priority node with a star. Invest your resources there and only there — it’s the fastest way to max a branch and unlock its buff for the whole alliance. Contributing outside the starred node spreads the alliance’s progress thin for no real benefit.
  • Alliance Coins. Every contribution earns Alliance Coins. These are your main route to free Peace Shields and Teleports in the Alliance Shop — save them rather than spending on whatever’s convenient.
  • Crits. Contributions have a chance to trigger a multiplier (×5, ×10), handing you a large pile of Alliance Coins at once. There’s no way to force a crit — just a reason not to feel bad about a contribution that seems small on average.

Research priorities: combat first

To survive and dominate as an alliance, focus contributions on:

  1. Combat Stats (Damage & Attack) — the foundation. Even a small 1-2% boost across the whole alliance compounds into a real edge against any defense.
  2. Alliance Help — higher levels reduce the time taken off each “handshake,” saving members real time on construction and T6-T9 troop research speedups.
  3. Survivability (HP & Defense) — reduces losses in PvP and cuts down how many wounded soldiers end up in the hospital after a fight.

Put everything into the War tab early

Until roughly day 60-70 of your server, alliance research contributions should go into the War tab and nothing else.

The other tabs aren’t worthless, but early on the War tree is where the returns are, and splitting contributions across tabs slows down every one of them. Concentrating is the same principle that applies to your own squad and buildings: one thing finished beats four things half-done.

After that window, the balance shifts and the other trees start to earn their place — but treat day 60-70 as a rule of thumb, not a hard switch. It’s a veteran player’s guidance based on how server progression usually paces, not a number the game states anywhere.

Pro tips

  • Manage the cooldown. Contribute every 2-3 hours so your donation timer is never sitting at full capacity doing nothing.
  • Never spend Alliance Coins on basic resources (food/metal) — save them strictly for Peace Shields, Teleports, and Talent Resets. See the Alliance Shop guide for the same principle applied more broadly.

Partially unverified. The War-tab timing and node costs/reward tables haven’t been cross-checked against in-game numbers. If you can confirm or correct any of this, share what you’re seeing in Discord.
